Increase your HOPE today!

Hello, Livin' Lively Ladies! What an amazing several weeks I have experienced! I truly have been through some deep valley's and I have had touches of God that literally took me to His chest of comfort. As I was facing some battles, decisions and pain I was also struggling with my hope. It occurred to me as I was praying over many of you that you too have wrestled with the feeling of hopelessness. I pray that today's devotion will increase your hope and will bring you deep encouragement.

Last week I defined hope as, "to believe, desire, or trust." But today I offer you a new and fresh revelation of what God has shown in my own personal journey these last two weeks. God has been stretching my definition of hope to this, "knowing that God will not only get me through to the other side but victory will be seen over all of the challenges!" Incredible! So as I write to you today these are my personal hopes: that my health sees victory, my purpose for the Kingdom is clearly defined and realized, that my personal finances and provisions are more than enough to give away, and that my life will be used to save millions of the lost bringing them into relationship with Jesus Christ. So as I walk this out in my mind, body, soul, spirit, and heart-- I wait expectantly in faith and in hope that God will provide victory in all of these areas!

"For whatever things were written before were written for our learning, that we through the patience and comfort of the Scriptures might have hope." (Romans 15:4)

My challenge this week is: list what stands in your way of hope-- do you need healing, do you need direction for the purpose that God has uniquely designed for you to do here on earth, do you need a job or financial breakthrough? Whatever you are challenged with or tries to stand in your way to experiencing God's best  - write it down. Next write down the lie that the enemy is telling you about that situation. For example, if you are sick, write down that the enemy tells me I will not be better.  Then, write down the scripture that reveals the devil's lie to you. 1 Peter 2:24, "who Himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live for righteousness-by whose stripes you were healed."

THE TRUTH OF GOD'S WORD WILL SQUELCH THE LIE OF THE ENEMY! Then next to each thing listed, write the promise from God that answers your need and declare victory over it. In our example you state, "I am healed through the stripes of Jesus!" Trust God with all that you are and HOPE in Him! God will not fail you! God will not let you down! YOU already have the victory because Jesus Christ died and was resurrected to heaven giving ALL of His believers final victory-- so claim your victory in a greater HOPE today!

I ask you again to  join hearts as we pray for our country and for unity! Also, I will be praying for all of you this week! I love each of you!
Please send me any prayer requests that you may have. I would love to hear your thoughts on what this message meant to you.

The secret to unlocking your destiny!

1 Peter 5:5-9 New King James Version

"Likewise you younger people, submit yourselves to your elders. Yes, all of you be submissive to one another, and be clothed with humility, for "God resists the proud, But gives grace to the humble." Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time, casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you. Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour. Resist him, steadfast in the faith, knowing that the same sufferings are experienced by your brotherhood in the world.

Good morning! I hope that you are having a great Monday morning. I have been on the road for over a week and it was great to come home. I loved crawling into my bed with my pillows and having my sweet family with me once again! My heart has been in a painful place recently. I felt that many of you were experiencing the same challenges. The Lord has been working with me double time to get my attention! I have been learning the hard way! You know God loves us so much but when we need to be straightened out- God will forever seek us and help us! You know when I was studying for today's inspiration it was very difficult. It took me forever to gather my thoughts and verses to communicate what the Lord is downloading to me to share with you today. I pray right now that your heart is open and that you know how much I love each of you! I pray that God touches your heart today and reveals the key to your destiny!

The KEY to fulfilling our destiny is defeating pride and to be clothed in humility! WHOA!!!! Doesn't this sound so easy? Well it is the greatest obstacle to fulfilling the God given purpose for our lives. One of the greatest Christian influences of the twentieth century, C.S. Lewis put it like this, "it is the great sin," "it is spiritual cancer: it eats up the very possibility of love, or contentment, or even common sense," and "According to Christian teachers, the essential vice, the utmost evil, is Pride. Unchastity, anger, greed, drunkenness, and all that, are mere flea bites in comparison: it was through Pride that the devil became the devil: Pride leads to every other vice: it is the complete anti-God state of mind... it is Pride which has been the chief cause of misery in every nation and every family since the world began." So my search began into my own heart, life, and soul. Then I searched into all kinds of studies on pride. It blew me away on the lack of teachings on the subject of pride! Particularly when you take into account these two truths: it is our own sinful human nature to be self-centered coupled with the fact we live in the "ME" culture. Fame, fortune, and followers are our greatest goals in life in today's world! Obviously pride is a huge stumbling block for most.

Today I want to touch only on one point dealing with pride. Pride is the hardest sin to self-evaluate but we must do it because it is a necessity to living the abundant life God has planned for us! It is hard for many of us to detect pride in our own lives. Today I plea with you to go to God. Seek God from the most humble place in your heart and ask Him to reveal any pride within you. Ask yourself about these attitudes, do you say, "I feel that I am self-sufficient, I feel my life is important (more than others), and I feel like I don't need God most of the time." Then look at how you treat others-- do you have an attitude of contempt and indifference? This is where it gets imperative that you get real with yourself and don't allow the enemy to lie to you. Get still, get quiet, and get out of any noise and ask God to show you any places that you need to repent and accept His forgiveness and grace as you get rid of pride in your life.

My challenge this week is: get before God and get real with yourself and humbly go before His throne and offer ALL of who you are to Him! Allow God to reveal places of pride that you need to confess and receive His amazing grace. As I shared with my best friends today, on a personal note, I will have to do this thousands of times a day, maybe even with every breath, and ask God to take out all areas of pride within me. Yes the truth hurts but if we continually ask God to wash us new and take away all pride then we can have new mercies everyday! God opposes ALL pride. Get before Him now and you will fulfill the incredible plans He has for your life. Getting rid of pride is the KEY to living out your God given destiny--Start living out your destiny today!

Out of the abundance of our hearts we speak!
"Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart
Be acceptable in Your sight,
O Lord, my strength and my Redeemer."   Psalm 19:14, NKJV
Good Morning! I pray that you are doing well today. As I was searching on what to share a childhood song from church kept coming into my mind. The song was a prayer and it was very short. As I sang the lyrics I began to really ask myself some questions. Today I have just a few thoughts I hope will touch your heart.

The main question I have to ask today is this, "What are you meditating on?" I looked up the definition of meditation and it was to engage in thought or contemplation; reflect. I felt the Lord ask me, "Laine what is your heart contemplating or what do you continue to reflect on?" There was another scripture that popped right in my mind and it was out of the heart the mouth speaks, Matthew 12:4,  "For out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks."

Our hearts dictate what we speak! If we are constantly reflecting on our past, sad emotions, and our own troubles then the words we speak will not be positive. I am not saying that we can't grieve our losses, wrestle with God when times are tough, or simply battle unbelief. But we must make a conscience effort to focus on the goodness of God. We must stand on His promises for our lives. As we deposit more of HIS words into our hearts then the Godly emotions will overflow into our words!

My challenge this week is: ask yourself, "what are you thinking about all the time?" Are you reflecting on the past too much--Regrets, mistakes, broken relationships, and sin. Are you reading God's word daily? Bottom line, are you placing more good deposits into your heart over negative deposits? My challenge for all of us is tough! But I know the only way to victory is completely surrendering to Him and putting His words in our hearts! So, today may we all have words and a heart that are acceptable to our Father! He loves us extravagantly and He is our strength, our rock, and our redeemer!

Let's join our hearts to pray for our country and for unity! Also, I will be praying for all of you this week! I love each of you! Please send me any prayer requests that you may have. Do you hear from God?

"My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me."  -John 10:27 NKJV

Good Morning! I can't believe it is August 2016. I saw on Facebook yesterday where someone posted 18 more Fridays until Christmas and I was shocked! I pray you are well today. I was so excited to share with you some thoughts today on hearing from God. I pray that this will encourage and enlighten you this week.

God has always talked to man. In the garden of Eden, in the beginning of time, God spoke with Adam and Eve. But when they sinned, man became fearful of God and made it harder than ever to hear God. After they ate the forbidden apple that they were told not to eat-- they hid in the bushes. They heard God coming and heard God ask them why are you afraid? Typically when we sin we run and hide from God which makes it harder for us to hear His voice. Jesus came so that we all could hear God's voice any time!

Do you hear God's voice? Some of you hear Him though your inner voice. Some see a visual image from God. Others of you feel a nudge in your gut. Then some of us do not hear from Him at all. Many of you have just been taught that He doesn't speak anymore. But if God is the same yesterday today and tomorrow then He is definitely speaking to His children today! For those that do hear Him, you know it is Him because it is so intimate and gentle. There leaves no doubt in what you experience. The best way to hear from God is to get alone with Him. Get into His presence and be intimate with Him.

My challenge this week is: if you hear from God then praise Him for that! Maybe even get into your quiet place more often in the days to come so that you can hear from Him even more. If you don't hear from God then close your eyes right now. Pray to Him and then be still and quiet. You may get a picture, your heart may feel less burdened, you may even hear a thought from deep within-- that is God speaking with you. Just like in the old days before caller ID when you answered your phone. If it was your parent or a dear friend all you had to do is to hear their voice and you knew exactly who it was before they told you! That's exactly how it can be with God! May we all strive to be better listeners to God in our crazy busy lives. Be still and know He is God. His children hear His voice!

Do you need a supernatural touch?

Hello! I hope you are having a good week so far. It seems our country is under attack again from within which is trying to break us apart and create violence against one another. This saddens me greatly! Jesus came so that there would be unity but that has been the good fight of faith since Christ died to create unity among us. The greatest commandment we were given was to love God and then to love our neighbors. I pray that we as friends of Livin' Lively with Laine, collectively we can together show the world it's possible to love each other unconditionally and to share this love to everyone.

As I was walking out the door last week, I reached down to move a chair. I screamed so loud! There was a locust on my chair. It was so ugly and still in his shell. I thought to myself, WHOA-- these locusts outside are not only loud but they are really kind of creepy. As I woke up this morning God reminded me of the locust the other day. So, I began to read the scriptures about locusts and I felt the Lord press on my heart to share with you the amazing thought He gave me.

The scripture below says it all! God was in the process of setting His people free from Pharaoh and Pharaoh would not release them. So Moses was on the eighth plague out of the ten that God designed and it was the plague of locusts. What really resonated with me was this-- God created the locusts out of nowhere! In an instant there were locusts covering the whole land. God pressed into me that He can do the unthinkable and impossible! Who would have ever thought to swarm with locusts?

Exodus 10:13-14 Amplified
So Moses stretched out his staff over the land of Egypt, and the Lord brought an east wind on the land all that day and all that night; when it was morning, the east wind had brought the [swarms of] locusts. The locusts came up over all the land of Egypt and settled down in the whole territory, a very dreadful mass of them; never before were there such locusts as these, nor will there ever be again.

The second short thought was that Moses had to partner with God. If you remember it was not easy! Moses did not think He was the right man for God to use to set His people free. But look-- once Moses surrendered to God's will all he had to do was partner with God and miracles followed! What do you have in your life that could be used by God to give you supernatural powers in your life to show the world God's glory?

My challenge this week is: if you need a supernatural touch of God anywhere in your life today-- BELIEVE God can do the unthinkable and He can do anything! His plans are different from ours and He can show up anywhere and anytime with His supernatural powers. Partner with God today and surrender to His will and have faith that God will set you free too! God will bring you to your Promised Land just let Him lead you and love you intimately-- starting right now!

Let's join together and pray for God's healing touch for our country. Also, I will be praying for all of you this week! I love each of you! Email me your prayers and comments to laine@livinlivelywithlaine.com.  Have a Lively week!
