Hebrews 6:13-18 The Message

"When God wanted to guarantee his promises, he gave his word, a rock-solid guarantee-God can't break his word. And because his word cannot change, the promise is likewise unchangeable."

Good morning! In light of celebrating Father's Day this past weekend, this scripture really spoke to me. In the above scriptures it is describing the promise that God gave to us as Abraham's decedents that we too will be blessed. This is God's word and because God is so good to all of us He wants to give us His best blessings!

As I was walking this weekend in a brand new city, in a brand new house, and in an unfamiliar place, I was reminded by the Holy Spirit how good God is to all of His children. He would never take us somewhere without Him being there with us! He would never lead us where He is not present.

My challenge this week is: if you need to build up your unbelief of where God is leading you today then take today's thoughts and believe with all of your heart that God is good. Know deep within your soul that God will always give you a good outcome. He will never leave you or keep you in lack. God promises YOU that you will be blessed and God never breaks His word and He will bless you-- it's a promise to YOU!

We love you and we are here for you. Let us encourage you today. If you need prayers, Please email us or call with any needs you may have! Let us pray with you today, call or email us with your prayer requests. We are here for you 24/7. We love you and we thank you for being a part of the growing WHOAwomen Community.

As I was searching my heart on what to share with you, I kept hearing a thought from the Lord. It was a total perspective change that gave me so much hope! I know it will bring you hope and peace, too!

"And regarding your speculation on whether the dead are raised or not, don't you read your Bibles? The grammar is clear: God says, 'I am-not was-the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, the God of Jacob.' The living God defines himself not as the God of dead men, but of the living." ~Hebrews 22:29-33 (The Message)

First, the scriptures above share that God is the God of NOW! He is not the past God or the God that "was". God is ever present in all of our lives right now. Sometimes I think the enemy uses this one twisted truth to discourage us the most. The devil likes to say, "God doesn't still part the Red Sea," or, "God doesn't bring dead things to life anymore." TODAY I assure you not only through this scripture found in the Bible but in my personal life and testimony that God is still bringing dead things to life!

As you know I have co-authored a book with my sweet husband, Steve. Together we share how God took our dead marriage and resurrected it from death to life! The scripture I found today just shouted that God is still bringing dead things to life!

Here is an excerpt from our book, Start Again from Scratch:

When Steve and I got married almost 30 years ago, we never dreamed our first 17 years could become hell on earth. I never thought there would come a day when I would love to hate my husband. Here was the man I had vowed to love until the day one of us died, and for most of those first 17 years I prayed his death would come quickly. And preferably at my hands.

If you are you facing some dead areas in your life today - debt in your finances, walking dead relationships, dead end jobs or no job - God can instantly bring life to anything! Surrender to God today and submit to His will. Dare to believe that the breath of God can resuscitate the dead places in your life right now! He did it for me - He resurrected my marriage, our finances, my dying daughter - so I know first hand that God can bring any dead thing back to life! I pray you trust and declare this word over your life today!

I am praying for you and know God will bring all the dead things back to life!

Matthew 5:3-4 The Message

3 "You're blessed when you're at the end of your rope. With less of you there is more of God and his rule.

4 "You're blessed when you feel you've lost what is most dear to you. Only then can you be embraced by the One most dear to you."

It's been a cold and dreary few weeks and I have struggled to stay warm. Even in the deep south we have experienced ice and snow and bitterly cold days. As I was searching scriptures to share with you I found the above scriptures Jesus spoke. Both of them really impacted my heart and I hope they touch you.

In the first scripture I was so touched. The Lord really pressed on my heart that many are at the end of their ropes. What I thought was so amazing was when God turned this all around in my perspective. Usually when we talk about those being at the end of their ropes it seems so desperate and hopeless. But here we see this is the beginning not the end! This is where God starts to move in mighty ways in our lives-- when we hit rock bottom is when only God can pull us up!

Then in the second scripture I felt so much comfort when I read the words that God will embrace us where we have lost what is most dear to us. As many of you know 2014 was a big year of loss for me. I lost my shows, my grandmother, several family relationships, and more. I felt God in all of those instances but I didn't mark it like I should have. Only God can give us back what the world and life have stolen from us. This was such a huge comfort to me and I pray for you too as well.

My challenge is this: if you are at the end of your rope-- rejoice and drop to your knees before God. Allow Him to pull you back up and to give you hope and victory. Don't delay-- surrender to Him today everything in you and He will begin a new work immediately! If you have lost something special to you through death, divorce, boundary's, or strife, lean into God like never before. Lay into Him like a cozy couch and allow Him to comfort you in the way only He can. Open your hearts today and believe that God will give you exactly what you need and give you more than you have ever lost! I know God will touch you today because He loves you so intimately.

"He also bypassed the sacrifices consisting of goat and calf blood, instead using his own blood as the price to set us free once and for all. If that animal blood and the other rituals of purification were effective in cleaning up certain matters of our religion and behavior, think how much more the blood of Christ cleans up our whole lives, inside and out. Through the Spirit, Christ offered himself as an unblemished sacrifice, freeing us from all those dead-end efforts to make ourselves respectable, so that we can live all out for God."

This week is so special for all us. I love the week of Easter. Every year it seems to mean more to me than the last year. Jesus sweet Jesus chose to give His life for ours! What an amazing gift for all of us.

There was one special point for this week's thought. Jesus came to replace religion, rules, and rituals! Jesus came so that we could come directly to the throne to our heavenly Father! Isn't that an incredible act of love. Jesus hung on a cross with nails in His hands and feet so that we could come right into our Father's arms.

Also, Jesus came so that He could clean us up from the inside out. Like the scripture says above He set us free from all of our blemishes and dead end efforts trying to earn our way to heaven. There is NO way we could ever repay Christ and our God for this extravagant gift- the love of Christ by giving His life for us.

My challenge this week is: make this week a special week in your personal life. Each day this week reflect on the cross as much as possible. Think of the pain that Jesus suffered all the way up to the crucifixion. He was mocked, beaten, rejected, abused, and so much more so that you and I could have eternal life. Go to the cross and rededicate your lives to Christ in a deeper way. Keep your thoughts on heaven like never before this week and God will honor every thought you offer Him. Remember this week what an extravagant gift God gave you-- His only Son so that we all may be set free and live eternally with our Father in heaven one glorious day!

I love you all! Livin Lively, Laine

"None of this fazes us because Jesus loves us. I'm absolutely convinced that nothing-nothing living or dead, angelic or demonic, today or tomorrow, high or low, thinkable or unthinkable-absolutely nothing can get between us and God's love because of the way that Jesus our Master has embraced us." Romans 8:31-39 (The Message)

With Valentine's Day happening over this past weekend I was reminded of so many who may not have had someone to tell them how much they are loved. God quickly pressed the above scriptures into my heart. Also Psalm 139 clearly tells us too that God made each one of us uniquely with His hands for His purpose. He loves us so much because He literally created us before the world began with a mission for the Kingdom in our DNA! WHOA!

As our scriptures share today in Romans, God loves us so much that He gave us Jesus to die on a cross for all of our sins so that we could be free of sin through the blood of Christ. It says above NO THING-- NOTHING- will ever separate us from our heavenly Father or Savior. God's love for us is so extravagant-- we can't even comprehend the depth of His love for us!

My challenge this week is: ask yourself if you know that God made you with His own hands. Do you really accept the fact that you are God's daughter whom He loves so deeply? Do you know God's purpose for you is to have a personal and intimate relationship with Him that will bring Him glory in all that you do? If you are lacking in love-- will you please today receive the everlasting love of Christ into your heart and know that NOTHING- no sin, no shame, no failure, NO THING- will ever keep His love from YOU! God LOVES YOU extravagantly!
