A place where you are never alone!

Good morning! I pray that you are having a good week so far and I hope you know I love you very much! I have been in so much prayer these last few months and I want you to know I pray for you often. This week this scripture just stood out. Again it was another layer to what I feel God is really pressing into me in this very quiet and dark season. I hope that you will find amazing comfort today through this inspirational thought.

I know that if you are reading this today that you are seeking the Lord and your heart loves the Lord. Today's thought should really touch you. God has a very special place just for you! A "private place" as the scripture describes is made just for you. Sometimes in the darkest seasons of our lives and in the roughest storms of life, God pulls us near into a private place! A place designed just for you!

"There's a private place reserved for the lovers of God,
where they sit near Him and receive
the revelation-secrets of His promises"
~Psalm 25:14 (Passion Translation)

In this private place, God is so near to us! When we are at our last hope, when we have no one to bail us out, or even anyone who really cares about us-- God pulls us near and begins to work within us! There in this "secret place" there are no distractions, no noises from the world, just our brokenness in need of God's help! This is where we sit near to Him and He is able to reveal secrets to us that will insure our victory and increase our maturity and confidence in Him! My question to you today is: Will you receive what He has to say and reveal?

For me in this "private place" season it has been bittersweet - like everything in life. Some days it is very difficult. God has revealed to me some things about my life that I have believed were true all my life that are NOT true (things people spoke over me, lies that hurt me all my life, and realities that are hard to face). But also God has revealed things to me that are true about myself that I have had to change so that I look more like Him. Thus I have had to do some changes from the inside out to line up to who I need to be in Christ. Each time I think I am about to get out of this time God shows me another secret that only He can reveal to me! But I know that when this season is over-- learning how to really endure the storms and darkness of life with trust and confidence in God- I will be a better and more mature woman of God! This incredible intimacy is the sweet part of this season. Although some days I have been so challenging emotionally and spiritually-- I always know God is with me, loves me, and is making me into what He needs to be!

My challenge this week is: if you are facing anything in life that seems impossible today, addictions, debt, lost job, failed relationships, wayward children, death, and more then please know that God has a private place just for you. In this private place He will reveal His great love for you, His plans for you, and His steadfast provisions for you! He will show you that you are not alone. He will show you maybe some places in your life that you too have believed lies about yourself or family and will show you the truth! The truth will set you free! Maybe He will show you places that need to line up with His will for your life. But in the end you will leave this secret place forever changed knowing God was with you in the darkness and He loves you so much and He will bring you to victory!

It is God's secret place!

"You even formed every bone in my body when you created me in the secret place; carefully, shaping me from nothing to something." ~Psalm 139:15, Passion Translation

Hello y'all! Thank you to those that have offered prayers and comments on this amazing new transformation God is doing in my life. Many of you, too, are feeling God tugging you and orchestrating changes in your lives as well. When I read this Passion version of Psalms 139 this scripture above encompassed several of the past notes into one scripture. But then another new revelation was shown to me that I felt led to share.

A few weeks ago, I talked about one of the names of God, Elohim, the God who creates something out of nothing- the God who creates order out of chaos and the God who made the universe out of nothing! (Read blog here: http://www.lainelawsoncraft.com/blog/70-god-created-you) Which then led us to the question, do we trust God that He has our lives planned, our days orchestrated and numbered-- no matter what our circumstances may look like? We are reminded again in today's verse that God is Elohim, He even made us out of nothing to make us something! Then the next part of the scripture is what really hit me. It says, "in the secret place." Some translations call this, "in the darkness." Then today's encouragement hit me!

As I shared last week, God has had me in a John 12:24 season where I have buried everything I am into the ground. Man oh man some days it is so dark. Some days I can't see where I am going or even imagine coming out alive! But God! When I saw this secret place reference God showed me that what we think is a dark time or season is really His way to get us into His secret place! WHOA! What a perspective change. I know many of you are in a dark season today. What I want to tell you is that when we change our view of the dark place into our secret place with God- EVERYTHING changes. Now I cherish the darkness. Now I am no longer afraid. I realize that just maybe God has me here so that He has my complete and full attention! Now He can really begin a new work in me. I am not just conforming but TRANSFORMING into what He truly designed and created me to be!

The rest of the scripture shares, "carefully, skillfully shaping me." That's it, sweet friends! The enemy tells us we deserve the darkness,  the devil frightens us in the darkness, and the enemy shames us in the darkness. TODAY I declare that your dark season is really just another way that God loves you so much that He is with you and meets you in this secret place to love on you and transform you! What may seem hopeless or has left you desperate and separated from God is really where He is creating something out of what appears to be nothing! God loves remaking and doing what man calls impossible possible!

My challenge this week is: if you are in a dark season take HOPE in today's word from God. He made you with His own hands. He loves you because YOU are His daughter. God loves to meet us in the secret places where He can become our everything and our trust is solely in Him. Tell the devil He is a liar and that God is shaping you and reforming you from nothing to something! Then run into God's arms in this dark season and allow God to orchestrate everything He needs to do and know that He will bring you into the light as a beautiful new creation made in His image inside and out! You will have victory! You will have better days and brighter seasons! And just remember, when faced with another dark season, it is God's secret place where only He can meet you and make something out of nothing just for you - His beloved daughter!

Good afternoon! I can't believe that this is the last week in the month of January 2017! Incredible how fast the first month of the year has gone. Today, I want to share with you on a personal study I am doing this year. I am memorizing the names of the Lord God in the bible and what they mean. It occurred to me that God reveals Himself through His names and I felt led to really dive into these meanings. The amount of knowledge and understanding in this new study is immeasurable. I pray as I share throughout the year what I am learning, you, too, will find not only wisdom but so much comfort in who God is in our lives!

"In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters. And God said, Let there be light: and there was light." ~Genesis 1:1-3

The very first name I want to share with you is Elohim. The reason behind this is because it is the first name God gives Himself in the bible. Genesis 1:1 in the above scriptures describes this name for God perfectly. God creates things out of nothing! This really resonated with me in the season I am in right now. There are things I am believing God for today that will need to be created out of nothing. Then I realized each one of us was uniquely designed out of nothing into a living human being! God has literally planned out every second of our days in this life here on earth when He created us out of dust. I don't know about you, but this truth just comforts me!

Today I realize more than ever that God brings order to chaos. He makes all things new. I am challenged to look upon Him as my creator the one who not only created all of the universe but created me with His own hands. This has touched my heart in such a way in this season that it enables me to surrender to the one who made me and allow Him to mold and make me just as He purposed for my life on earth.

My challenge this week is: join me as I memorize the names of God and allow Him to reveal Himself to you too. Then worship God for all of the things He created for us. Elohim, the all powerful creator, may we all worship Him for the stars in the sky, the oceans that are vast, the sun rises and the sunsets, and for the God who created every one of us! I pray that God will comfort you with this knowledge that He in fact has created every one of your days and for such a time as this! Be strong and trust in His name Elohim that He created it all and He will finish it all for our good!

Would you like to start life over?

Good morning! Today, I pour out my heart to you. I have been in a season that has been one of the most difficult seasons yet. This is a huge confession considering I have had to face the challenge of dying children, a dead marriage, financial ruin, and more! There are so many things I want to share with you but I will do it in parts as God unloads to me what he wants to use to help others. The seed of change was the catalyst for this incredibly gut wrenching season! I had to stop everything I knew in actions, thoughts, and desires and be still and know that God was going to finish what He had started in me when I was born!

"To everything there is a season, and a time to every purpose to everything under the heaven:"  ~Ecclesiastes 3:1 (KJV)

As you read today's scripture you see to EVERYTHING there is a season. This means that life is full of change, evolving moments, and maturity. But what this really says from the Lord is that there are times God will ask you, "What do you need to give up or change to get to where I am taking you?" God is constantly stretching us to grow into ALL that He designed us to be and to be mature messengers of His great love and hope! For me personally, God asked me to stop everything and to bury everything-- all that I had done, all that I had become, and all that I had hoped for was to be buried into the ground! WHOA! I literally was left naked before God and buried myself (the seed was me) into the ground.

I had to die to everything I knew. God was planting seeds of change in my heart and in my life so that all things new could be birthed! This has been one of the hardest things I have ever done in my life! God has taken me back to the very early years in my life and is re-birthing me from this preschool little girl age. He is remodeling me from the inside out! I gave it a huge fight at first but it just made the pain and reality worse! Finally I surrendered to God. I just pulled out of the world, I became very quiet, still, and I began to listen intently to what God was leading to me to do. I share this with you today to tell you that it has been almost six months today that I gave in and gave God all of me-- my heart, my soul, my body, my hopes, my dreams, and my entire life. Now you too can be a part of watching God grow what He desires for my life for my latter years. You can be a witness to a mid-age woman being remade, remodeled, and reconstructed from the inside out becoming a brand new creation through Christ. Though it's been dark, scary, heart breaking, and intense I would not take one thing in replacement of this season of completely getting off the wheel of life. I pray, as I continue to share with you each week, you too, can find the strength, worth, time, value, and desperation to stop and ask yourself: where I am going, what am I doing, and where do I want to end up-- or do I even like myself, do I like what I have become, and what can I do to become a better person?

My challenge this week is: know that you are valuable and worthy-- YOU are the daughter of the Most High God! I know some of you are deep in despair, tired, burnt out, and in need of new beginning! You are not too old, too close to the edge, or too far gone, for God to remodel you too and remake you from the inside out! I pray that we all can encourage each other to go deeper with God and allow Him to remodel us. I urge you this week to ask yourself these questions: do I like my life, do days fly by without any breaks, am I just doing life to get through the day, am I experiencing joy, peace, calm, purpose, love, and success-- YOU deserve to live a life that gives you these things-- God gave you His Son to die on a cross in exchange for you to know Him, love Him, serve Him, and allow Him to move in you and through you to save the lost. Will you take this season and stop and ask God to search your heart and your life and see if you too could use a renovation from the inside out. There is a season for everything and I urge you to live in the present, to stop, to be still, and go to God and allow Him to reset you to exactly where He desires for you to be.

You will have to fight for every victory in the battle!

Hello! I hope you are having a great week and staying warm through all of the winter storms! I know so many of you are facing some true battles today. I want each of you to know that I am praying for you all the time. God just reminded me over the weekend that we are all either in a battle, walking out of a battle or walking into a battle. Then God helped my own heart as I am facing several battles at one time with this one thought, "Victory is yours through the blood of Jesus Christ but sometimes you must fight the battle!" This year, 2017, will be a victorious year but we will have to fight with one hand while celebrating with the other!

"I know how great this makes you feel, even though you have to put up with every kind of aggravation in the meantime. Pure gold put in the fire comes out of it proved pure; genuine fatih put through this suffering comes out proved genuine. When Jesus wraps this all up, it's your faith, not your gold, that God will have on display as evidence of his victory."  ~1 Peter 1:6-7, MSG

In the scriptures above you see that God knows we are absolutely aggravated. Some of us are on the verge of quitting and are at our last bit of hope. BUT GOD has a word for you today, "Don't give up during the test and the fires because you will come out so much better on the other side in victory!" I know this touched my heart and encouraged me and I pray that it will help you, too!

God can do anything. No thing- Nothing- is impossible for God. However sometimes God needs to train us for the next battle and the only way for training are the tests! Your faith will give you victory every time. Remember victory can not come without a battle! So keep moving forward in faith and God will lead you to your victory-- or to many victories this 2017!

My challenge this week is: if you are weary, tired, and hopeless please go to God right now and tell Him. God hears your cries and helps the broken hearts. Just pour out your heart to Him, your fears and your needs and cry, literally cry, to Him. Then ask God to touch you and comfort you in the way only He can. Then you will be ready to suit up for the battle again and have the confidence to know God will hand you the victory when we keep moving forward, keep our eyes upward and centered on Jesus! Trust God in the darkest hour, in the greatest fight, and when you can't see Him or feel Him-- He is right there in the battle with you guiding you to your next victory stronger, mightier, and more confident than you have ever been before-- JUST keep trusting Him!

Happy New Year! I love you all so much. Please send me your prayer requests today. I want to pray for you and for your strength to increase during your battles! Please, I ask today for your prayers, too. I need your prayers for strength, guidance, and protection while facing my own battles! I love each of you! This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. that you may have. I would This email address is being protected from spambots.
