Do you hear from God?
"My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me."  -John 10:27 NKJV
Good Morning! I can't believe it is August 2016. I saw on Facebook yesterday where someone posted 18 more Fridays until Christmas and I was shocked! I pray you are well today. I was so excited to share with you some thoughts today on hearing from God. I pray that this will encourage and enlighten you this week.
God has always talked to man. In the garden of Eden, in the beginning of time, God spoke with Adam and Eve. But when they sinned, man became fearful of God and made it harder than ever to hear God. After they ate the forbidden apple that they were told not to eat-- they hid in the bushes. They heard God coming and heard God ask them why are you afraid? Typically when we sin we run and hide from God which makes it harder for us to hear His voice. Jesus came so that we all could hear God's voice any time!
Do you hear God's voice? Some of you hear Him though your inner voice. Some see a visual image from God. Others of you feel a nudge in your gut. Then some of us do not hear from Him at all. Many of you have just been taught that He doesn't speak anymore. But if God is the same yesterday today and tomorrow then He is definitely speaking to His children today! For those that do hear Him, you know it is Him because it is so intimate and gentle. There leaves no doubt in what you experience. The best way to hear from God is to get alone with Him. Get into His presence and be intimate with Him.
My challenge this week is: if you hear from God then praise Him for that! Maybe even get into your quiet place more often in the days to come so that you can hear from Him even more. If you don't hear from God then close your eyes right now. Pray to Him and then be still and quiet. You may get a picture, your heart may feel less burdened, you may even hear a thought from deep within-- that is God speaking with you. Just like in the old days before caller ID when you answered your phone. If it was your parent or a dear friend all you had to do is to hear their voice and you knew exactly who it was before they told you! That's exactly how it can be with God! May we all strive to be better listeners to God in our crazy busy lives. Be still and know He is God. His children hear His voice!

Out of the abundance of our hearts we speak!
"Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart
Be acceptable in Your sight,
O Lord, my strength and my Redeemer."   Psalm 19:14, NKJV
Good Morning! I pray that you are doing well today. As I was searching on what to share a childhood song from church kept coming into my mind. The song was a prayer and it was very short. As I sang the lyrics I began to really ask myself some questions. Today I have just a few thoughts I hope will touch your heart.
The main question I have to ask today is this, "What are you meditating on?" I looked up the definition of meditation and it was to engage in thought or contemplation; reflect. I felt the Lord ask me, "Laine what is your heart contemplating or what do you continue to reflect on?" There was another scripture that popped right in my mind and it was out of the heart the mouth speaks, Matthew 12:4,  "For out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks."
Our hearts dictate what we speak! If we are constantly reflecting on our past, sad emotions, and our own troubles then the words we speak will not be positive. I am not saying that we can't grieve our losses, wrestle with God when times are tough, or simply battle unbelief. But we must make a conscience effort to focus on the goodness of God. We must stand on His promises for our lives. As we deposit more of HIS words into our hearts then the Godly emotions will overflow into our words!
My challenge this week is: ask yourself, "what are you thinking about all the time?" Are you reflecting on the past too much--Regrets, mistakes, broken relationships, and sin. Are you reading God's word daily? Bottom line, are you placing more good deposits into your heart over negative deposits? My challenge for all of us is tough! But I know the only way to victory is completely surrendering to Him and putting His words in our hearts! So, today may we all have words and a heart that are acceptable to our Father! He loves us extravagantly and He is our strength, our rock, and our redeemer!
Let's join our hearts to pray for our country and for unity! Also, I will be praying for all of you this week! I love each of you! Please send me any prayer requests that you may have. I would love to hear your thoughts about today's message. This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. Have a Lively week!

God has perfect timing!
Hello! I hope you are staying cool on these sweltering days of heat this summer! The days are flying by again in this season and I am just amazed that we are half way through June already! I had an incredible revelation this weekend at church and I wanted to share it with you today. It brought my heart so much encouragement and hope that I pray it will do the same for you!
Genesis 15:13 Amplified
"God said to Abram, "Know for sure that your descendants will be strangers [living temporarily] in a land (Egypt) that is not theirs, where they will be enslaved and oppressed for four hundred years."
Exodus 12:41
"At the end of the four hundred and thirty years, to that very day, all the hosts of the Lord [gathered into tribal armies] left the land of Egypt."
As the Genesis scripture shares above God is telling Abram that the Israelite's are going to be in bondage for 400 years but will be set free. Then in Exodus in the scripture above we see the exact day to the exact date God delivered them into freedom just as He had promised to Abram for them to go to the Promised Land! WHOA! This just hit me right into my heart. I ask you today, "What has the Lord promised you or told you that you are still believing for?" I have several things that I have been struggling with while waiting on God! But these scriptures that demonstrate God's great and loving sovereignty just blew me away.
This one fact kept running from my head down through my heart all the way to my toes-- God has an exact plan for all of us. We all have a specific purpose for living as Christ follower's down here on earth. We must take Abraham's example of faith as he surrendered it all to God, obeyed God's commands, and then acted out (even at the risk of death) to fulfill God's call on his life. This inspired me personally to go to another level deeper into God's presence, increase my level of faith believing God will answer my cries, and wait on Him expecting His answers in His perfect timing!
My challenge this week is: are you waiting on God to answer your pleas for help, healing, or for a breakthrough? KNOW THIS-- God hears your cries! God is working on your behalf right now! God will never fail us or leave us. He is not a God that will turn His back on His children especially in times of despair! Believe like the Father of Faith, Abraham, that God will in fact lead you, guide you, make your paths clear, and show up just in His perfect timing revealing to you His answers and plans that will surpass your own imaginations or dreams! Hold on-- wait on Him-- stand firm--- for God will always see us through and we will win the battle every time! God will answer your prayers and show up just don't give up hope!
Praying for all of you this week! I love each of you! Please email me your thoughts and prayer requests. This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.

Do you need a supernatural touch?
Hello! I hope you are having a good week so far. It seems our country is under attack again from within which is trying to break us apart and create violence against one another. This saddens me greatly! Jesus came so that there would be unity but that has been the good fight of faith since Christ died to create unity among us. The greatest commandment we were given was to love God and then to love our neighbors. I pray that we as friends of Livin' Lively with Laine, collectively we can together show the world it's possible to love each other unconditionally and to share this love to everyone.
As I was walking out the door last week, I reached down to move a chair. I screamed so loud! There was a locust on my chair. It was so ugly and still in his shell. I thought to myself, WHOA-- these locusts outside are not only loud but they are really kind of creepy. As I woke up this morning God reminded me of the locust the other day. So, I began to read the scriptures about locusts and I felt the Lord press on my heart to share with you the amazing thought He gave me.
The scripture below says it all! God was in the process of setting His people free from Pharaoh and Pharaoh would not release them. So Moses was on the eighth plague out of the ten that God designed and it was the plague of locusts. What really resonated with me was this-- God created the locusts out of nowhere! In an instant there were locusts covering the whole land. God pressed into me that He can do the unthinkable and impossible! Who would have ever thought to swarm with locusts?
Exodus 10:13-14 Amplified
So Moses stretched out his staff over the land of Egypt, and the Lord brought an east wind on the land all that day and all that night; when it was morning, the east wind had brought the [swarms of] locusts. The locusts came up over all the land of Egypt and settled down in the whole territory, a very dreadful mass of them; never before were there such locusts as these, nor will there ever be again.
The second short thought was that Moses had to partner with God. If you remember it was not easy! Moses did not think He was the right man for God to use to set His people free. But look-- once Moses surrendered to God's will all he had to do was partner with God and miracles followed! What do you have in your life that could be used by God to give you supernatural powers in your life to show the world God's glory?
My challenge this week is: if you need a supernatural touch of God anywhere in your life today-- BELIEVE God can do the unthinkable and He can do anything! His plans are different from ours and He can show up anywhere and anytime with His supernatural powers. Partner with God today and surrender to His will and have faith that God will set you free too! God will bring you to your Promised Land just let Him lead you and love you intimately-- starting right now!
Let's join together and pray for God's healing touch for our country. Also, I will be praying for all of you this week! I love each of you! Email me your prayers and comments to  Have a Lively week!

"Don't imagine us leaders to be something we aren't. We are servants of Christ, not his masters. We are guides into God's most sublime secrets, not security guards posted to protect them. The requirements for a good guide are reliability and accurate knowledge. It matters very little to me what you think of me, even less where I rank in popular opinion. I don't even rank myself. Comparisons in these matters are pointless. I'm not aware of anything that would disqualify me from being a good guide for you, but that doesn't mean much. The Master makes that judgment."  ~1 Corinthians 4:1 1-4 Message
As the scriptures tell us today we are all leaders and servants of Christ. We are all uniquely designed to reveal the mysteries of God to the lost through our love and living our lives in Him. Nothing disqualifies us and there is no rank or rating system. The only requirement is that Jesus Christ is our Lord and Savior and that we follow Him by obeying His words in love. I know this sounds simple but in today's world it is NOT easy to resist the need to constantly compare our lives to others!
It's been a challenge since the creation of time. Eve ate the fruit, sinning, and separated us from God from the very beginning! But-- it was the enemy that twisted the truth and made her compare herself to God. Didn't she want to be smarter than Him? It is a challenge we all face, not to compare ourselves to others. When we compare ourselves then there will always be a winner and a loser. Thus unity can't be realized because of competition. Instead of celebrating one another we compete and this is so sad. Remember God designed us to need each part of the whole and each one of us is a part of His Kingdom.
Even Saul loved David greatly, but because of comparisons he ended up wanting to kill him! We must strive to help others get further along and to live life in the fullness God designed them to have! If we compare ourselves we will end up in busyness, discontentment, jealousy, ungratefulness, and bitterness. However if we will learn to celebrate others-- their new cars, their new jobs, their 50 pound weight loss, their victory over addictions, or whatever God has blessed them with then YOU reap so much more! When we celebrate with them then you are showing God how much you trust Him and that He is a good God to all of us! God will certainly bless you because of your obedience and trust!
My challenge this week is: in the age of social media-- everyone posting their best days, greatest achievements, new things, and all kinds of things that make us feel that we are losers-- just know that this is a lie of the enemy. WE ALL have bad days.  Life is never 100% a fairy tale. No one is ever in constant love, on forever vacations, working with a dream job, and in a perfect family. But-- we can learn to celebrate others successes, encourage one another to obtain life's best, and love one another unconditionally without measure or rank. When you celebrate others, celebrate who God made you to be, then God will celebrate YOU like never before. You will not be disappointed or frustrated anymore-- you will have the fullness only God can give!
Have a great week! I love each of you! Please send me any prayer requests you may have. I love hearing your thoughts on what this message meant to you. Have a lively week!  My email: This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.
