Transforming Holiday Blues: Gratitude Over Grief
It’s the holiday season, and many are welcoming in a time of family and fellowship as we celebrate the birth of Christ Jesus. However, for some, the holidays can magnify dysfunction. Whether it is a rough divorce, financial hardships, or other trauma, these dysfunctions can harm what is supposed to be one of the most joyous times of the year.
That is why I am so blessed to welcome my friend, preacher Jacob Coyne, back to the Warfare Parenting Podcast. Jacob talks about how difficult the holidays can be for families and what we can do to work through those traumas to reclaim our mental health in Christ.
He shares with us his own story of seeking therapy and that there is strength, not weakness, in reaching out to seek help when we are struggling with our mental health. Jacob also speaks about the resources his organization, Stay Here, offers for those who may need someone to reach out to or can’t afford therapy visits. I highly recommend you check out his website, www.stayhere.live and his new book, Stay Here: Uncovering God’s Plan to Restore Your Mental Health, using the link below!
